His cry echoed in a humble manger, Jesus was no ordinary child. His birth split history in two a baby born not from the will of man, but from the heart of God. He came not as a messenger of God, but as the very Son of God the visible expression of the invisible Creator. To understand Jesus as the Son of God is to understand love itself — a love so deep that Heaven came down to walk among us.
🌤️What “Son of God” Really MeansThe title “Son of God” doesn’t mean that Jesus was created or born like humans are. It describes his divine nature that He is one with the Father, eternally existing before time began. In John 1:1–3, Scripture says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made.” That “Word” is Jesus — the eternal Son, the living expression of God’s truth and power. He wasn’t made by God; He is God made visible. When Jesus called God His Father, He wasn’t claiming to be a servant — He was claiming equality with Him. That’s why in John 10:30, He boldly said, “I and the Father are one.” The Son of God doesn’t mean less than God it means of the same essence as God. Just as sunlight comes from the sun but isn’t separate from it, Jesus radiates God’s light in human form.
☀️Prophecies Fulfilled Long before Jesus was born, prophets spoke of His coming — a Savior who would be called the Son of God. Isaiah 7:14 prophesied, “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call Him Immanuel.” Immanuel means God with us.When the angel spoke to Mary, he said, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the most high will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy — the Son of God.” (Luke 1:35)
