Peace is a quiet strength that lives within me. It is gentle, steady, and grounding. I’ve learned that peace doesn’t come from controlling the world around me, but from understanding what’s happening inside my own heart. Usually, when I find myself upset, there is already something there. After all, nobody can upset me unless I let them. I have all the power. When emotions rise, I recognize that they are invitations to look inward with compassion and care. The last time I got upset, it wasn’t really about the rude things a person said. It was because there was already a lot of pain inside of me to begin with. I had been carrying that pain quietly, and the moment simply brought it to the surface. For weeks, I cried because Lucas turned me down. During that time, I learned how deeply I care and how tender my heart truly is. That experience taught me that when I feel upset, it is often because there is something within me that needs gentleness, understanding, and healing. Now I know that peace grows when I listen to my heart instead of fighting it. I like to turn to peace and forgiveness, and to listen to scriptures that calm my spirit. I sit with those words until my heart feels settled again, until I am no longer upset. This practice brings me clarity and comfort. It reminds me that peace is always available to me. It is something I can return to whenever I need it.It brings me such peace.
What Mercy Looks Like Mercy is love meeting humanity with kindness. It is patience in motion, compassion with a heartbeat, and forgiveness offered freely. Mercy speaks gently and recognizes shared experiences. It says, “I understand.” In everyday life, mercy moves quietly and powerfully. It chooses kindness, softness, and grace. Mercy looks like understanding. It listens with care and sees people as stories still unfolding. It honors growth, learning, and the beauty of becoming. Mercy looks like second chances. It opens space for renewal, hope, and transformation. It believes in the goodness that continues to grow within people.Mercy looks like letting go. It feels light and freeing, allowing the heart to rest and move forward with peace. Mercy looks like kindness in action—small, gentle choices that bring warmth into ordinary moments.Mercy also lives in the way I speak to myself. It allows room to learn, to grow, and to heal with patience. Self-mercy nurtures wholeness and inner peace.Mercy listens deeply. It creates safe spaces where hearts feel seen and understood.
